Nisa was founded over 40 years ago, but since 2018, the co-op has owned it, providing an environment in which independent retailers can continue to flourish.

Each of Nisa’s 1,400 retail partners is fully independent and makes their own informed buying decisions. Consortium has been their magazine for more than 25 years, giving it unique credibility and influence. It is circulated throughout the entire partnership, including the stores of multi-site partners, adding up to a combined national readership of over 8,000.

As well as producing the monthly magazine for Consortium, Swarm also created a website which links up with an online library so that retailers and suppliers can read the magazine using whichever device they wish to.
