Eridge Park is a large historic estate set amid ancient woodlands and rolling parkland just north of Rotherfield and northeast of Crowborough in East Sussex. Recognised as a Site of Special Scientific Interest for its rich biodiversity, the 3,400-acre Eridge Estate also extends into Royal Tunbridge Wells—where it owns and manages much of the iconic Pantiles district and its thriving mix of shops, cafés, and galleries.
When the Estate’s trustees decided to open the park for a curated series of festivals, concerts, and community gatherings, they engaged Swarm to design a brand-new website with two clear UX objectives:
-
Attract Promoters and Organisers
– Showcase Eridge’s natural beauty, historic architecture, and flexible event spaces to encourage new festivals and production companies to consider the grounds for their next headline event. -
Engage Visitors and Ticket-Buyers
– Provide a dynamic, image-driven platform where audiences can quickly discover upcoming events—whether a wellness retreat, artisanal food fair, or open-air concert—and secure tickets or camping passes with minimal friction via links to the separate organiser’s websites.
To capture the scale and serenity of Eridge Park, we created a layout that foregrounds sweeping hero photographs, evoking both the grandeur of the landscape and its easy connection to London—just an hour away by train. Each event page blends high-impact imagery with concise call-outs for dates, line-ups, and ticket tiers, while the site’s accessibility features ensure every visitor can explore and plan their visit with confidence.
